This site is the personal blog of Jesse Rodgers who currently works at the University of Waterloo as the Associate Director at VeloCity (the dormcubator) and the Past-President of the University of Waterloo Staff Association. Previously I have been on the Special Projects Group in IST as the UI/Front-end lead (2 years) and before that I was Manager of Web Communications for the University (6 years).
Jesse likes to study and play on the web and is also a Adobe Community Expert Professional. In his spare time he organizes the local BarCamp community (BarCampWaterloo) and StartupCamps.
Why “who you calling a Jesse” for a blog’s name? It is fun. In the UK “a Jesse” is a bit of an insult which may be why my Grandmother (of Scottish heritage) wasn’t too keen on my parents naming me Jesse. See:
